Peter Simonischek Death: How did Peter Simonischek die?

Peter Simonischek’s cause of death has not been announced yet. The news of his death was reported by numerous German and Austrian outlets but none of them stated the cause of death.

He was announced dead on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was 76 years old. Simonischek was a celebrated stage performer and had been a regular ensemble member of the Burgtheatre since 1999. He often appeared at the Salzburg Festival and had played the title role in the play Jedermann so many times.

He also appeared in numerous films including Herrenjahre, The Lenz Papers, Love and Fear, Sukubus, Success, The Mountain, Krucke, and more.

Many people expressed their condolences after he was reported dead.

“A great actor and a wonderful colleague. The death of Peter Simonischek makes me very sad right now. Just recently I saw “Oktober, November” with him again. At the film’s premiere party, we were talking about his death scene and he asked me if he had overplayed it there. Of course, I said no, although I had no idea about the last rebellion of dying. At least I believed him,” actor Wolfgang Zarnack said.
