Daisy Head was born in Fulham, London. She is the daughter of actor Anthony Head and the younger sister of actress Emily Head. Daisy attended Kingswood School in Bath and trained at Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance.

Head was part of the regular cast of the BBC drama series, Merlin, about the mythical wizard Merlin. Head played King Unther Pendragon, the father of Prince Arthur.

In July 2018, Head was added to the cast of the long-running BBC radio soap-opera The Archers, playing Robin Fairbrother, a member of a family with several past and current connections to the Archers themselves.
