American disbarred lawyer and the leader of Oath Keepers, Stewart Rhodes has been sentenced to 18 years in prison. He was sentenced after being convicted of seditious conspiracy to “overthrow, put down to destroy by force” the US government. He ridiculously claims that he is a political prisoner, just like former present Donald Trump.

He is the first of those charged with that offense in connection with the riots to be sentenced. The sentence is the longest that has been handed down so far in the hundreds of Capitol riot cases.

Messages, recordings, and other evidence presented at his trial showing that he and his followers grew increasingly enraged after the 2020 election at the prospect of a Biden presidency, which they viewed as a threat to the country.
According to reports, he told his followers to prepare their minds, bodies, and spirits for a civil war, according to an encrypted chat sent two days after the general elections.
