Philip Solomon, a 17-year-old student at Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure, Ondo State, has set a Guinness World Record for the most number of skips on one foot in a 30-second period.

On January 24, 2023, Solomon executed an astounding 153 skips on a single foot in the allotted 30-second span, breaking Rasel Islam’s previous record of 145.
Solomon’s performance was officially recognized and certified by the Guinness Book of Records four months after his attempt.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, he was recognized for his extraordinary achievement.
On its website, the Guinness Book of World Records stated:
The most skips in 30 seconds on one foot is 153, and was achieved by Philip Solomon (Nigeria), in Akure, Nigeria, on 24 January 2023.
Philip was inspired by the previous holder of this record title Rasel Islam after seeing a video of their record attempt. He has been training to achieve the record and was honoured to attend a skipping world championship.
