Buonanotte has been a member of Rosario Central’s youth academy since the age of ten. On 11 February 2022, he made his professional debut as a substitute for Rosario Central against Arsenal de Sarand.
Buonanotte was named to Argentina’s national under-20 football team for the Maurice Revello Tournament in France in 2022. He was called up to the national under-20 football squad again in January 2023, ahead of the 2023 South American Championship.
On March 3, 2023, he was named to Argentina’s senior squad for friendlies against Panama and Curacao.
