Palmer, who grew up in Wythenshawe, joined Manchester City at the age of eight and advanced through the Academy ranks before captaining the under-18s during the 2019-20 season.
Palmer competed for England’s under-17 team in the 2019 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
Palmer gained his first call-up to the England U21s on August 27, 2021. He scored on his debut in a 2-0 U21 Euro Qualifying win over Kosovo U21.
