At the youth international level, Carboni has played for both Italy and Argentina. He now plays for the Argentina under-20 national team.
Born in Buenos Aires, Carboni first played futsal for Club Lafuente, a local futsal team in Lans, before switching to football in 2013 and enrolling in Lans’ development program.
In The Guardian’s ranking of the top 60 talents born in the year 2005, Carboni was included in September 2022.

He was chosen for the final roster for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina in May of that year. He scored his first goal in a 2-1 victory over Uzbekistan on May 20 during his debut.
