American actor, Gerald Castillo who was very active in the movie industry before the 2000s, has been reported dead. According to his wife, Dayna, his death occurred on May 4, 2023, in his home in Houston. However, no cause of death was announced. He was 90 years old.

He made his debut appearance in a television show when he was featured in an episode of The Jeffersons on CBS in 1978. He worked in theatres across Los Angeles and at the Santa Paula Theatre in Ventura County when he was almost retiring.

Castillo worked on several movies and tv shows including Through Naked Eyes, Death Wish 4: The Crackdown, Kinijite: Forbidden Subjects, Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection, State of Emergency, Above Suspicion, and more.
He also made an appearance on many shows including M*A*S*H, All in the Family, Barbaby Jones, Dynasty to Night Court, Dallas, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and more.
Castillo was best known for his role as Major Slater, a military man who was a strict but loving parent to A.C, in Saved by the Bell which was a comedy released in 1989 and 1992
