Born on November 20, 1963, Ming-Na Wen featured in one of her most popular films when she starred in The Joy Luck Club in 1993. She also played the role of Dr. Jing-Mei “Deb” Chen on the NBC drama series ER. In 1998, she bagged her debut voice-acting role as the title character in the animated film Mulan, and its direct-to-video sequel Mullan II. She went on to appear in the video game Kingdom Hearts II.

It was announced in 2019 that she would be a cast member of the Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian, playing Fennec Shad. She reprised the role vocally in Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and the live-action series The Book of Boba Fett.
