Phil Jones is a professional footballer who plays as a central defender/ defensive midfielder for the Premier League club Manchester United.

Born on February 21, 1992, in Preston, England, Jones began his football career at the Blackburn Rovers youth academy, and made his first-team debut for Blackburn in 2009.

Jones began playing for Manchester United in 2011, and appeared in domestic competitions such as the Premier League and the FA Cup, as well as in European competitions like the UEFA Champions League.

Additionally, Jones has played with the England national team, in international matches such as the UEFA European Championship and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
