How are Tom Fitzgerald and Keith Tkachuk related?

Tom Fitzgerald former ice hockey player and the general manager and executive vice president of the New Jersey Devils and Keith Tkachuk former professional ice hockey players are cousins.

Tom Fitzgerald and Keith Tkachuk grew up together.  Keith Tkachuk played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 18 years.

Keith Tkachuk played in the NHL from 1991 to 2010. Throughout his career, Tkachuk achieved significant milestones and received numerous accolades. He was a five-time NHL All-Star, represented the United States in international competitions, and reached the 500-goal mark during his tenure in the NHL.

Tom Fitzgerald is also related to Tkachuk’s sons, Matthew of the Florida Panthers and Brady of the Ottawa Senators, as well as Kevin Hayes of the Philadelphia Flyers and the late Jimmy Hayes of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

After retiring as a player, Fitzgerald seamlessly transitioned into various management roles within the NHL. He initially served as an assistant coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2007 to 2009 before moving into a player development role within the organization.
