Sunderland are set to sign Jobe Bellingham from Birmingham and have reportedly won the race to sign Bellingham. Bellingham made his first appearance in the Football League as a late substitute in a 1–1 draw away to Preston North End.

By the end of the year 2021, Jobe Bellingham had four goals from nine appearances for Birmingham’s under-18 team in their section of the Under-18 Premier League and played four times for their under-23s in Premier League 2 Division 2.

In October 2021, Jobe Bellingham played in all three of England’s 2022 European Under-17 Championship qualifying round matches. In March 2023, Jobe Bellingham played in all three matches of the under-18s’ tour of Croatia.
