Maria de Lourdes Alcívar Crespo is an Ecuadorian socialite and the wife of Guillermo Lasso an Ecuadorian businessman, banker, and politician who has been the country’s 47th president since May 24, 2021.

Guillermo Lasso met his wife Mara de Lourdes Alcvar in 1977 and married her in 1980. Maria de Lourdes, Juan, Guillermo Enrique, Santiago, and Mara de las Mercedes are their five children.
Maria de Lourdes Alcvar Crespo has served as Ecuador’s First Lady since May 24, 2021, as the wife of President Guillermo Lasso.

Maria de Lourdes Alcvar Crespo was born in Guayaquil in 1963 but grew up in Samborondón, Ecuador. Alcvar supported her husband by attending all of his campaign events in 2013, 2017, and 2021.
As First Lady of Ecuador, she currently serves as an ambassador for the Embrace for Adoption and Ecuador Grows Without Chronic Child Malnutrition programmes, as well as managing various social activities as part of the commitment she has made with the President of the Republic to the country’s development.
