Rúben Dias is a Portuguese footballer who plays the centre-back position for Premier League club Manchester City, as well as the Portugal national team.
Born on May 14, 1997, in Portugal, Dias was introduced to football by a family member who brought him to the local club Estrela da Amadora at a young age.

He played as a striker, a defenseman and a midfielder during his early days at the Benfica youth academy.
In 2015, Dias began playing for Benfica B, and was named to the first team in 2017, and the same year emerged as Primeira Liga’s Young Player of the Year.
Dias won two league titles with Benfica, making more than 100 appearances.
In 2020, Dias began playing with the the Premier League club Manchester City after signing a contract worth €68 million.
He was selected as the team’s captain in 2021, and went on to win the league title, and the EFL Cup.
