Paul Tudor Jones II, an American billionaire hedge fund manager, naturalist, and philanthropist, was born on September 28, 1954.

He established Tudor Investment Corporation, a Stamford, Connecticut-based asset management company, as his hedge fund in 1980.
He established the Robin Hood Foundation, which works to end poverty, eight years later. His net worth was projected to be US$7.3 billion as of April 2022.

Prior to enrolling at Memphis University School for high school, Jones completed his primary education at Presbyterian Day institution, an all-boys institution. Jones continued his boxing career at the University of Virginia while studying there.

Jones wed Sonia Klein, an Australian-born yoga businesswoman with roots in New York, in Memphis in 1988. Jones relocated to Greenwich, Connecticut, in the early 1990s.
In addition to a son, they have three daughters, the oldest of whom is Caroline. Jones has supported the careers of his three daughters in macro trading.
