Jack Eichel Parents: Meet Bob Eichel, Anne Eichel

John Robert Eichel is an American professional ice hockey centre for the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Vegas Golden Knights.

Jack Eichel is the son of Bob Eichel and Anne Eichel. His father, Bob manages the Lowell warehouse of F.W. Webb, a plumbing company and his mother Anne, was a nurse.

Jack’s father introduced him to hockey at a young age. Jack first left home when he was 15 to join the United States National Development Team Programme. He spent time abroad playing for the United States in Austria, Finland, and Sweden before enrolling at Boston University one year ahead of his peers.

The Buffalo Sabres selected Eichel second overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Before entering the league, Eichel was dubbed “the new face of American hockey” at the age of 17, and he was regarded as part of a new generation of hockey talent.

Eichel won the 2015 Hobey Baker Award, which is given to the best men’s ice hockey player in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
