Jack Eichel played college hockey for Boston University, where he had an impressive career before being selected second overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Jack Eichel was dubbed “the new face of American hockey” at the age of 17, and he was regarded as part of a new generation of hockey talent.

Eichel won the 2015 Hobey Baker Award, which is given to the best men’s ice hockey player in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Eichel, then 15, represented the United States at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics. With Team USA, he won a bronze medal at the 2013 World U-17 Hockey Challenge and a silver medal at the 2013 IIHF World U18 Championships.
Eichel was named to Team USA for the 2019 IIHF World Championship, which will be held in Bratislava and Kosice, Slovakia, on April 19, 2019.
