Robert Pattinson admitted that he was vehemently opposed to playing Edward when he first read ‘Twilight”. In his own words, Robert told OK! magazine:

“You always get weirdos like Edward who seem to attract women for some reason. If Edward wasn’t a fictional character and you met him in reality he is like one of those guys who would probably be an axe murderer or something.”

Robert Pattinson learned to speak Portuguese for the scenes where Edward interacts with the housekeepers, Gustavo (Sebastião Lemos) and Kaure (Carolina Virguez) in Brazil. Robert Pattinson is from England and speaks English and a little French.

Robert Pattinson won Hollywood Rising Star Award for his performance in the film Life from Deauville American Film Festival in 2015.
