Michelle Daniela Dee was born on April 24, 1995, in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines, to Melanie Marquez and Derek Dee.
Her father Frederick “Derek” Dee is a businessman and former character actor mother Melanie Marquez is an actress, author, former supermodel, and beauty queen.
She has a sister named Maxine and four maternal half-siblings named Miguelito, Mazen, Adam Jr., and Abraham.

Michelle Dee’s mother Melanie Marquez was crowned Miss International in 1979. She is the youngest Miss International winner in history, having competed in Miss International 1979 at the age of 15.
Ms. Marquez was crowned Face of the 1980s in New York, USA, in 1985. In 1986, she finished first in the Supermodel competition. She was voted “Most Beautiful Miss International Winner” in 2000, and in 2005.
she was one of six finalists in the Mrs. World pageant held in India. She competed in the Binibining Pilipinas World of BC and World of Canada pageants in 2004.
