The notification of his death was delayed for approximately a week due to arguments among his siblings, according to multiple internet publications.
The exact cause of death has yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, his remains are said to be at the mortuary at Jos University Teaching Hospital, or JUTH.
Saint Obi, who was born on November 16, 1965, studied Theatre Arts at the University of Jos and debuted as an actor in a Peugeot television commercial in 1996.

He has appeared in over 60 films and produced his first, Take Me to Maama, in 2001, in which he played Jerry opposite Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel, and Enebeli Elebuwa.
Born Obinna Nwafor, to parents Millicent Nwafor and Mazi Melford Nwafor, Saint Obi studied Theatre Arts at the University of Jos and began acting in 1996 in a Peugeot television commercial.
He will be best remembered for his roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime, and Last Party.
Saint Obi is survived by his wife Lydia Saint-Nwafor and three children.
