Who is Linda Yaccarino the new CEO of Twitter ?

Linda Yaccarino, the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal has been appointed CEO of Twitter.

The announcement of her appointment was shared by owner Elon Musk on Twitter on May 11 2023.

Linda Yaccarino has been working for months to help Twitter repair its relationship with advertisers.

She interviewed Musk in April 2023, at an industry event in Miami Beach, and NBCUniversal recently expanded a deal with Twitter to make content related to the 2024 Paris Olympics available on the social site.

Linda Yaccarino, who spent a significant portion of her career at WarnerMedia’s TV operations before joining NBCUniversal last decade, oversees the Comcast-owned company’s global ad-sales efforts, with Peacock and NBC among the assets she helps bolster with revenue.

In recent years, she has spearheaded initiatives to generate new cash flows through e-commerce and worked to redefine how the TV industry measures its audiences for advertisers in the hopes of giving Madison Avenue more credibility in paying for people who watch their favourite shows via streaming video. Since she joined NBCU in 2011, her team has generated more than $100 billion in ad sales.
