Born on September 20, 1964, Monica Bellucci started her acting career in 1990 when she made her acting debut in the television film Vita coi figli. She was cast after Italian director Dino Risi spotted her pictures in a magazine.
She is mostly known for her successful modeling career which started when she was just 13 years old. A hairdresser named Piero Montanucci spotted her while hitchhiking and persuaded her to become his model.

Bellucci was featured on the cover of Vogue Spain and Elle France in 1988, photographed by Oliviero Toscani. She was the brand ambassador for French personal care L’Oreal in 1991 and appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
She starred in her movie in 1991 when she appeared in the movie La Riffa. She went on to appear in Bram Stoker’s Dracula as the bride of Dracula. She became desperate about acting and was determined to attend acting classes to polish her newly found profession aside from modeling. However, during that time, she noticed the Italian movie industry was not well developed so she moved to France.
