Enrico Oldoini Obituary

Famous film director and screenwriter, Enrico Oldoini who was best known in the ’80s, has been announced dead. Sources claim that he died after complications from Lou Gehrig’s disease on May 10, 2023. He was 77 years old.

He was considered by many as the Master of Comedy in Italy in the 80s and worked alongside several comedians including Renato Pozzeto, Ezio Greggio, Gerry Cala, Adrian Celentano Charles Verdone, and more.

Oldoni made his directing debut in 1984 with the movie Hearts in the Storm and starred in it as well. He went on to direct several others including He Is Worse Than Me, Yuppies 2, Beautiful Fresh, Bye Bye Baby, and A Short Life. 

He started his career in the early 60s when he moved to Rome to pursue an acting career. However, he fell in love with writing and wrote his debut movie in 1976 dubbed And A Lot of Fear. He was the director for the first season of the series and also produced other series like Try Again Professor and One Step from Heaven.
