John King is an American journalist and the ex-husband of Dana Ruth Bash, a CNN journalist, news anchor, Inside Politics host, and co-anchor of State of the Union.

Dana Bash married her second husband, John King, in 2008. Before marrying Bash, King previously a Roman Catholic converted to Judaism, Bash’s religion.
Bash and King have a son, Jonah, who was born in June 2011. The couple separated in March 2012
John King is CNN’s chief national correspondent, based in Washington, D.C., and the weekday anchor of Inside Politics, a roundtable political discussion programme.

King joined CNN in 1997 and worked as the network’s senior White House correspondent from 1999 to 2005.
