American journalist, E. Jean Carroll accused former President Trump of sexually assaulting her at a department store in the spring of 1996. According to Carroll, she met Trump as she was leaving the Bergdorf Goodman department store one evening in 1996. A conversation ensued between them. where Trump asked for her help to buy a gift.

She agreed to help him out and Trump reportedly chose to buy a lingerie, which he asked her to put on.

“I had no intention of putting it on. ‘You put it on, it’s your color,” she claimed Trump insisted.

Carroll added that Trump led her to the changing room and insisted they both try it on.
“He immediately shut the door and shoved me up against the wall. He shoved me so hard my head banged. I was extremely confused. He leaned down and pulled down my thighs. I was pushing him back. It was quite clear I didn’t want anything else to happen,” she added.
A New York jury shared on Tuesday (May 9, 2023) that “Trump subjected Carroll to sexual contact without consent by the use of force and that it was for the purpose of sexual gratification.”
