Famous actress, Jodi Benson is best known for being a voice actress who has voiced so many popular characters. However, she is most notable for her role as Ariel in The Little Mermaid. She first auditioned for The Little Mermaid in 1986, through playwright, Howard Ashman.

Her roles as Ariel in The Little Mermaid film series include; The Little Mermaid (1989), The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning (2008), The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, Enchanted, and more. She also made an appearance in ABC’s 2019 concert performance of The Little Mermaid.

Benson is also known for movies including Balto III: Wings of Change, Balto II: Wolf Quest, Toy Story 2, Flubber, Lady, and the Tramp II: Scamp’s Adventure, Toy Story 3, and more.
She began her career when she made an appearance in Marilyn: An American Fable. She also starred in other Broadways including Smile (1986). She was nominated for Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical for he role in Crazy for You. She also starred in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 1998.
