The Demon Headmaster actor Terrence Hardiman, passed away from an unknown cause on May 8, 2023. He was aged 86.

Hardiman’s death was announced by his agency, Scott Marshall Partners, without a cause of death stated.
Who Was Terrence Hardiman?
Terrence Hardiman was an actor known for playing a lead role in the children series The Demon Headmaster, and other TV shows such as The Crown, Doctor Who and Wallander.
Born on April 6, 1937, in Forest Gate, Newham, London, Hardiman attended Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, where he majored in English.

He began appearing on TV in 1972, and often portrayed the character of a Nazi-era personnel, police inspector, doctor, barrister, and judge in many of his films.
Hardiman has appeared in many films such as Secret Army, Colditz, Wish Me Luck, Enemy at the Door, When the Boat Comes In, Prime Suspect, Gandhi, Juliet Bravo, Home to Roost, The Royal, Crown Court, The Brittas Empire, The Bill and The Courtroom, Cadfael, and The Demon Headmaster.
Hardiman also played the role of a narrator of several audiobooks, including series by Colin Dexter, Anne Perry, and Ruth Rendell, and in 2013, he won a Silver Centurion service award.
Hardiman passed away on May 8, 2023. He is survived by his children and wife, Rowena.
