Ross Chastain Wall Ride
In October 2022, Ross Chastain qualified for the Championship 4 at Martinsville, where he, in tenth place on the last lap of the race, drove his car into the outside wall of the track in Turns 3 and 4 to the speed of 130 miles per hour (210 km/h) to finish in fifth place.
NASCAR has decided to ban Ross Chastain’s now famous wall-ride maneuver, which secured him a place in the Championship 4.
