Dominic Fobih: 80-year-old former education minister weds young lady in 9th marriage

Prof Dominic Fobih, former Member of Parliament for Assin South and former Education Minister, has been trending on news of his ninth marriage.

According to reports, the former Education Minister, 80, has taken a 27-year-old wife.

A wedding video shows the happy couple dancing enthusiastically to Dada KD’s ‘Fatia Fata Nkrumah’ as guests shout.

The politician donned a Kente cloth, and his new bride wore a beaded-laced corset gown in white and gold.

Prof Fobih’s right hand was on his wife’s waist, while her hands were on his shoulders.

Their image was accompanied with a message of appreciation:

“Thank you for being with us on this special occasion and making it the most memorable day of our lives – Mr and Mrs Dominic Fobih.”

Who is Dominic Fobih?

Dominic Fobih, born on July 16, 1942, is a Ghanaian politician, professor and educationist/teacher.

From January 2001 to January 2017, he served as the National Patriotic Party’s member of parliament for Assin South in Ghana’s Central Region.

During the government of ex-President John Agyekum Kufour, he was also a cabinet Minister of Lands, Forests, and Mines.

In 1979, he received his PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta in Canada.
