Andrés Muschietti Siblings: Meet His sister Barbara Muschietti

Bárbara Muschietti is an Argentine film producer and screenwriter. She is the sister of Andrés Muschietti also a filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer.

She moved to Catalonia, Spain, after some roles in film production, to work in the advertising industry. She returned to film with the successful short film ‘Mamá,’ written and directed by her brother Andy Muschietti.

Bárbara Muschietti relocated to Los Angeles, California, to work on the feature film ‘Mamá’ with Guillermo Del Toro.

Bárbara Muschietti has worked on a number of projects since then, including ‘It’ (2017), the horror film with the most successful theatrical release in history.

Bárbara Muschietti is of Italian ancestry. Arthur Phillips, a writer, is her husband.

 

Aside from working with his sister, Andrés Muschietti has also worked on other film projects, including producing the film “The Turning” (2020) and directing an upcoming film adaptation of “The Flash,” set for release in 2023.
