Felipe Colares cause of death

Felipe Colares was run over by a bus on May 1, 2023, while returning from his morning training at Team Nogueira in the western area of Rio de Janeiro.

He was brought to Richa Faria Hospital by firefighters. Sadly, he died on the way to Richa Faria Hospital at the age of 29.

Colares began training in judo at the age of seven and added Brazilian jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, and Muay Thai at the age of fifteen.

Before signing with the UFC in January 2019, he had an unbeaten MMA record of 8-0 fighting on the Brazilian regional MMA circuit, culminating in his victory of the Jungle Fight featherweight belt.

On February 2, 2019, Colares made his UFC debut as a lightweight against Geraldo de Freitas at UFC Fight Night: Assunço vs. Moraes 2. He did, however, lose the battle by unanimous decision.

Colares’ release from the UFC was announced on June 9, 2022.

Colares made his first post-UFC debut on February 17, 2023, at Ares FC 12, when he submitted Alioune Nahaye through rear-naked choke in the first round.
