Edward Walter Olczyk Jr., a former American center who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins, is related to both Ricky and Nick Olczyk.

Eddie’s younger brother, Rick Olczyk, is a former Brown University hockey player who joined the Kraken as an assistant general manager in 2019.

Eddie Olczyk’s son, on the other hand, is Nick Olzyck.

Nick played for the Colorado College Tigers before becoming a television studio analyst for the Seattle Kraken in 2022.
Born on August 16, 1966, Eddie Olczyk spent 16 years in the NHL after being drafted third overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1984.
By the time Eddie retired in 2000, he had tallied 794 points on 342 goals and 452 assists.
Since calling it quits, the 1994 Stanley Cup champion has served as the primary color commentator for NBC Sports’ No. 1 hockey booth alongside Doc Emrick.
Eddie has also contributed to NBC Sports as a horse racing analyst, making regular appearances on the network’s various television platforms during Triple Crown season.
