Roquan Smith is a footballer who plays as an inside linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL).

Born on April 8, 1997, in Georgia, Smith played high school football at Macon County High School in Montezuma, Georgia, for the Bulldogs; and college football at the University of Georgia.

While at Georgia, Smith was an MVP of the SEC Championship Game, and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2017.

In 2018, Smith was selected by the Chicago Bears as eighth overall pick in the first-round of the NFL Draft.

In 2022, he was traded to the Baltimore Ravens, and the following year, he signed a five-year extension deal worth $100 million extension with the team.

Smith is currently the highest-paid off-ball linebacker in the NFL.

His NFL statistics shows a record of 693 tackles, 18.5 sacks, 23 pass deflections, 8 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 defensive touchdown.
