Tamara Bowie is the sister of the late American athlete, Tori Bowie. It is unsure if Tamara the former basketball player is the sister of Tori or if they just happen to share the same name.

This is because Tamara’s official Wikipedia page does not mention Tori as her relative.
Bowie was found dead at her home in Florida on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Her cause of death is yet to be announced. Her agency, Iconic Management released an official statement announcing her death via social media.

So many people have expressed their condolences after her death was announced.
“I can’t believe this. I had just heard word of her going to be with her sister back home and now this. This breaks my heart to hear and I will keep the family in my prayers,” US athlete, Noah Lyles also wrote in a post;
“So devastating and shocking to learn of the passing on of Tori Bowie. The world of athletics has lost a great champion and patriot of the sport, rest in peace, Tori. Condolences to the greater family of Tori Bowie, together in prayers,” Olympic Javelin star, Julius Yego wrote.
