Dannii Erskine car accident: How did Dannii Erskine die?

Dannii Erskine, who appeared on Channel Seven’s Bride and Prejudice, died in a car accident at the age of 28.

Dee, her sister, told So Dramatic about the events leading up to her sister’s tragic death, explaining that a drunk driver hit her at a crosswalk:

“As she went through a green light, a driver was intoxicated and T-boned her,” before explaining that at the time of the accident, she was alive and was rushed to hospital.

Dee went on to say that her sister’s “skull was crushed upon impact with the airbag”, before stating that she was “pronounced braindead” at 12:01am on April 29, before her life support machines were switched off shortly before 6am.

“She was 28. Full of life and trying her best to move on and meet someone. Now she won’t get that chance,” Dee contined.

Dannii was declared legally dead – or brain dead – in a hospital at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, and her life support was turned off almost six hours later, at 5:45 a.m.

Her heartbroken sister revealed that at she was just getting her life back on track after a bad break-up when she died.

Dannii’s family also paid tribute to her on Instagram:

‘REST IN PEACE Dannii Erskine. 1995 – 2023,’ 

’28/04 took Dannii’s life to a speeding driver – an awful accident. We appreciate and respect wishes we have received as a family.’ The account is going to be deleted in the next day,” the post read at the time.
