Dave Hakstol is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach who is the head coach for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL).

A native of Warburg, Alberta, Hakstol played for the Fighting Sioux from 1989 to 1992 and in the International Hockey League (IHL) for five years before becoming a coach.

Where has Dave Hakstol coached? For four seasons, Hakstol was the head coach of the Sioux City Musketeers, and for 11 seasons, he was the head coach of the University of North Dakota men’s ice hockey team.
From May 2015 to December 2018, he was also the head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers. In 2017 and 2019, he served as an assistant coach for Canada’s national men’s team.
