Bill O’Brien was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2007 to 2020, concluding his career as the head coach/general manager of the Houston Texans.

In his twelve years of coaching, his teams went 120-72-0. From 2014 until the 2020 season, he led the Houston Texans to a 56-56-0 record.
He served as head coach for seven seasons during his tenure. He was fired by the Texans on Monday, October 5, 2020.
He was fired following a bad start to the season and was replaced as temporary head coach by Romeo Crennel.
O’Brien will return to the NFL in 2023 as the Patriots offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
