American blues singer and guitarist, Bonnie Raitt is very much alive, however, she is set to undergo surgery for a ‘medical situation.’

In an official statement released on her social media page, she announced that she will cancel her forthcoming concert performance due to an urgent surgery that needs complete attention.
“Bonnie has a medical situation that requires surgery to address. The doctors say that in order for her to heal properly, they recommend she not perform for a couple of weeks,” the statement read.

“Unfortunately, this overlaps our five tour dates in May (2023), and we are very sorry to have to cancel our performance at @brandicarlilesmothershipwkd on May 14th and postpone our shows in Athens, Louisville, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh,” the statement continued.
However, she rescheduled some of the dates to June, July, and 2024. Louisville was scheduled for June 20, 2023, Indianapolis for July 1, 2023, and Athens, and Pittsburgh are set to be decided in 2024.
