Barbara Young was a well-known English actress. Barbara Young passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in a Cambridge hospital surrounded by her family on 27 April 2023.

Barbara’s cause of death is unknown, however, she had been in hospital over the last few days.
Barbara Young is best known for her portrayal of Agrippina, the future Emperor Nero’s mother, in the landmark 1976 BBC serial I, Claudius.
Barbara Young also appeared in the 1970 film Jane Eyre as Miss Scatcherd, as Eileen Clancy in the 1975 TV series Looking for Clancy, as Dot Wilmington in the TV series Hazell, and as On Giant’s Shoulders for the BBC in 1979

Barbara Young appeared as Bobby Ball’s wife Florrie in an episode of the long-running BBC comedy series Last of the Summer Wine titled “Get Out of That, Then” in 2008. From 10 to 13 April 2012, she appeared in Hollyoaks as Mags (Nan to Scott Sabeka).
