As a sophomore for the Crimson Tide in 2020, Byron Young played in 13 games and took part in 297 snaps for the Crimson Tide. He recorded 19 tackles, and 7 assists while adding 16 stops.
Byron Young earned Reese’s Senior Bowl Defensive Player of the Week recognition for his game against the Rebels in 2022.
Byron Young was rated No. 76 nationally, as well as the No. 7 defensive tackle and fifth overall player from the state by 247Sports. Young was selected to the 2019 All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
