Richard Sharp began his career in JP Morgan where he worked for eight years. He also worked for Goldman Sachs for 23 years. He went from being a normal staff to becoming Chairman of its principal investment business in Europe, and eventually left the company in 2007.

He was the boss of the current British PM, Rishi Sunak when they both worked at Goldman Sachs. And also served as an advisor to Boris Johnson when he was the Mayor of London.

From 2013 to 2019, Sharp served as a member of the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee. He also joined RoundShield – a property investment company – where he served as a senior member from 2014 to 2021.
