About The Film “Love & Death”
Love & Death is a HBO crime drama based on the true story of Texas homemaker Candy Montgomery, who was accused of the murder of her friend Betty Gore, with an axe in 1980.
Montgomery was said to have hit Gore 41 times with a wood-splitting axe, after Gore confronted her for having extramarital affairs with her husband, Allan.

The murder and court verdict led to reactions from the small community of Wylie, Texas, where the incident occured.
Montgomery and Gore had attended the same Methodist church, their children were best of friends, their husbands had good jobs, and they lived almost perfect lives, until betrayal and murder gives the story a new dimension.
The movie Love & Death premiered on April 27, 2023, on HBO Max, and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, and Patrick Fugit, with many other fan-favourite cast.
