Lukas Van Ness is a footballer who plays as an outside linebacker for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL).

Born on July 6, 2001, in Barrington, Illinois, United States, Lucas played high school football at Barrington High School, where he was rated a three-star recruit.

Lucas had a successful collegiate career at the University of Iowa, where he was redshirted in his first year.

Being Iowa’s both defensive end and defensive tackle, Lucas recorded 33 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and seven sacks, and was named a Freshman All-American.

Consequently, in his second year, he was named the Big Ten Conference Special Teams Player in a week.

In 2023, Lucas was drafted by the Green Bay Packers as 13th overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft.
