Mazi Smith is a footballer who plays as a defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL).

Born on June 16, 2001, in Michigan, United States, Smith played high school football at East Kentwood High School in Kentwood, Michigan, where he was named the second best defensive tackle in 2019, and was a four star recruit.

Smith had a successful collegiate career at the University of Michigan, where he started all 14 games, and recording 37 tackles, four pass breakups, and four quarterback hurries, as a senior.

Smith is known for his rate power, speed and agility, with a shuttle time of 4.41 seconds and three-cone drill time of 6.94 seconds.

Being Michigan’s leading defensive player, Smith was selected as a first-team player on the All-Big Ten Conference football team in 2022.

He had also been rated number 1 on Bruce Feldman’s “Freaks List”.

In 2023, Smith was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys as 26th overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft.
