Bresee is the only player from Clemson to be presently on board with the Saints; becoming the first Saint taken in the first round out of an Atlantic Coast Conference school since the 2016 Rankins.
He is the second player to be picked by the Saints in the NFL Draft, the second former Tiger picked in the first round by the Black and Gold, joining linebacker Stephone Anthony – who was 31st overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Bresee began his football career at the Urbana High School in Maryland before getting transferred to Damascus High School in the same city of Maryland.
