Snooker professional, Mark Selby has made almost $10 million from his career as a player. It is understandable that due to the longevity of his career, he has been able to rake in so much wealth so far.

He began his professional career in 1999 when he joined the professional tour at the age of 16. He reached the semi-finals of the China Open in early 2002.

In April 2003, he reached his first ranking final at the Scottish Open when he was 19 years old. He finished runner-up to David Gray and earned himself a place in the top 32 for the first time.

Selby reached the finals of the 2007 World Championship but was also defeated by Higgins again.
He won his first major tournament on 28 January 2008 at the Masters at Wembley Arena in London. Selby also claimed his first world ranking title at the Welsh Open in February 2008, winning against Ronnie O’Sullivan.
He lost his number one ranking on 2 November 2012 when Trump claimed the top spot by reaching the final of the inaugural International Championship in China.
