He started his entertainment career in 1988 when he introduced Lauren Hill to Wyclef Jean. The three of them formed the music group, The Fugees in 1994, and released their first album dubbed Blunted on Reality. The album was under the supervision of Ronald Khalis Bell.

The group achieved its first milestone in 1996 after releasing The Score which went multi-platinum. Pras also had a very successful solo career in 1999 when he released his first full-length playlist titled Ghetto Superstar (That Is What You Are).
