What is Joel Kinnaman doing now?

Famous actor, Joel Kinnaman has been announced to star in Neil Blomkamp’s alien abduction thriller, They Found Us. 

Kinnaman is set to play the role of “a father who takes his daughter Kaylee on a campaign trip in the Utah wilderness, in an effort to heat their broken relationship. When they are attacked by a hostile extraterrestrial lifeform, they are forced to fight for their lives against a humanoid beast determined to kidnap them and take them to an unknown and terrifying alien world.”

The movie is reportedly being produced by Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Entertainment.

Kinnaman started his career as a child actor in a Swedish opera dubbed Storstad (1990). He was in the show for 22 episodes but stopped acting for over a decade.

He made an international film debut in the United States when he starred in the thriller film The Darkest Hour, with the help of an American agent he hired to help extend his career. The movie was released in June 2010 in Moscow and December 2011 in other countries.

His career in the United States skyrocketed from 2011 to 2014 when he starred in the AMC tv series dubbed The Killing. He made his Hollywood debut with the film Safe House and Lola Versus.
