Zach Praise was drafted 17th overall by the Devils in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and went pro after his sophomore season, spending a year with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League (AHL).

For the 2005-06 season, Parise joined the Devils. Parise led the Devils to the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals, where they were defeated in six games by the Los Angeles Kings.

Zach Parise has represented the United States at a variety of events. He helped the United States ice hockey team win gold at the 2004 World Junior Championships, where he was named Most Valuable Player, Best Forward and made the Tournament All-Star Team.

Zach Parise served as an alternate captain for the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics, scoring the tying goal late in the gold medal game against Canada to force overtime.

Zach Parise was named to the Tournament All-Star Team following the tournament. Parise was also named captain of the Winter Olympics in 2014.
