Country music legend Keith Gattis died on April 23, 2023, at the age of 52.

Tributes have poured in from all over the world for the late icon. The likes of Melonie Cannon, Waylon Payne, and Jim “Moose” Brown, whom he collaborated with while he was alive, have also honored him on social media.

Funeral arrangements for the late artiste will be communicated to the public in due time.

Gattis is survived by his two children and wife, Penny Gattis, who serves as General Manager of Publishing at Eclipse Music Group in Nashville.

Who Was Keith Gattis?

Keith Gattis was a country singer, songwriter, guitarist, and music producer, known for the hit single Little Drops of My Heart.

Gattis also doubled as a guitarist and lead vocalist of Dwight Yoakam’s band.

In 2005, he released his single Big City Blues, which became listed amongst the Billboard top 20.

Other songs written by Gattis include Welcome to the Fishbowl, El Cerrito Place, When I See This Bar, I Got a Car, and many others.

Gattis did a number of musical collaborations with many artists including George Jones, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson, Kid Rock, Randy Houser, Charlie Robison, Gary Allan, Ashley Monroe, Allison Moorer, Waylon Payne, Miranda Lambert, Wade Bowen, Sara Evans, Dwight Yoakam, Brandy Clark, Randy Rogers Band, Randy Travis, Eli Young Band, and others.
